A street violinist performs outside the entrance of the Cathedral of Our Lady.

My hat's off to this street performer. The narrow alleyways around the cathedral act as wind tunnels that seem to amplify the level of cold into an arctic winter. I could barely stay long enough to capture a few photos let alone stand gloveless and be able to operate the strings of a violin. But perhaps, I'm entirely the wrong person to depend on for an accurate gauge of chilly weather; I've spent the better part of the past 5 years roasting near the equator in little else but a loincloth and flip-flops.

A (blurry) street violinist is dwarfed by the sized of the Cathedral of Our Lady.

You can vaguely make out the violinist as he's a blur from the four second shutter speed I was forced to use. But he's there, suffering for his craft whereas I was gone, suffering for want of a warm enclosure.

1) Jeff Lovinger -

Very well done, Pius. It will warm up soon, hopefully.
"Loin cloth" hmmmm? I must have missed those photos.
Enjoy.

Thanks Jeff. The loin cloth was fortunately worn only in the comfort of my own hotel rooms. ;-)
