This christian area in Indonesia is famed for their elaborate funeral traditions. Families save their entire lives to in order to pay for animals to slaughter when loved one dies. It's not uncommon for a wealthy family to slaughter 50 water buffaloes and 100 pigs over the course of several days. The meat is later distributed to local villagers.
