Dragon fruits piled up for sale at a local outdoor produce market in Bangkok.
Displaying this kind of color, you'd think the dragon fruit is as delicious as it is pretty. I still haven't warmed to this little guy despite giving it several (as we say in America) good old college tries. I really want to like this fruit, almost as much as I want to love olives at a bar, but each time I have a bite, I find myself rather disappointed. The flavor and sweetness is not proportional to its intense color but people do consume it plenty in these here parts!
