The Citadel fortification and minarets (what else?) in Islamic Cairo.
This is just my initial pass of the Citadel. I attempted to enter this place during my first visit to Egypt in 2003 but they were closed then for unknown reasons. It's such a massive, daunting place - a city unto itself - that I think requires the better part of a full day so I'll save the tour of the innards for a rainy day.

A user-controlled panorama of the traffic circle in front of the Citadel and behind two major mosques, the Mosque of Ar-Rifai and the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan.
Please have patience while the panorama loads. There seems to be quite a lot of colors in this one judging by the large file size of the panorama.
